収穫 水菜と苺

ご近所さんと訪問者

鳥が軒の下に巣を作ってます。
2日くらいでつくってしまった。新しいご近所さんです。
（雛が生まれると、糞をおとしまくるんだけどな～）

ウサギもぶらーりやってきてくれました。

たまご eggs

最近、卵は近所のlumber（材木屋？）とか自分で育てている人から買っていて、スーパーから買うことはめっきり減りました。
色んな色があったり、黄身がすごく黄色かったり、ずいぶんスーパーのオーガニック卵とは違う。
違う種類のとりなんだな。

でも、カラフル。

We get eggs from a lumber in our neighborhood, or sometimes from the free range firm. They have variation in color and the yolk taste thick. (I do not know how I can express the taste.)
Besides, they are cheaper than organic eggs at a regular grocery store.

おやつ

最近手作りしているおやつ。

今週はチョコレートビスコッティとメープルクッキー。
ハカリを買ってから、日本のレシピも作れるようになりました。
（アメリカではレシピはほとんどがカップと小さじ大さじで表示されているのです）

I lately do home-made baking for snacks.
For this week, I made chocolate biscotti and maple syrup cookies.
Though many Japanese recipes are good, they are most likely expressed in terms of grams, and not cups, Tbs, or tsp.
Recently, I found a recipe that I really wanted to make from a Japanese blog, so that I bought a scale for that purpose!
